Almost forgot to change my calendar over! #dftba #p4a #charlie #michaelaranda
Because it’s the end of the year, we’ve lowered the price of the 2013 Men of YouTube calendar to a mere $5! You still get to enjoy Charlie and Michael’s smiling faces for December, PLUS have a bunch of awesome photos of your favorite YouTubers to cut out and frame/make crafts from/have them sign at VidCon!
All proceeds from your purchase go towards the Project For Awesome.
Absolutely! You can upload your video to Youtube at any time, share it around to your friends, family or anyone else.
It can depend, to quote the Youtube guidelines
Respect copyright. Only upload videos that you made or that you are authorized to use. This means don’t upload videos you didn’t make, or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations. Read our Copyright Tips for more information.
Since all P4A videos must adhere to the Youtube guidelines, that means is if you don’t have permission from the creator to use the music, unfortunately you can’t.
In some situations, you may already have permission, if the music is licenced under certain Creative Commons licences, you may be able to use the music, so long as you credit the artist in a way that they’re happy with. Another example is DFTBA Records allows you to use music from certain artists providing you don’t monetize the video, and provide information on where to get the song (http://dft.ba/music-video-program). Other artists and labels may have something similar, but if it’s not completely clear you have permission you should probably contact the artist directly.
Need a custom thumbnail for your P4A video? We’ve got you covered!
